Frequently asked questions
What is this app?
The Dice app is a simple dice roller. You choose how many dice to roll and which type (for example d6 or d20), see the results clearly, and save a roll log with a short note about what happened and who was there.
Which dice can I roll?
The app supports common polyhedral dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20. You can roll up to six dice at a time. When you roll more than one die, the app can show a total where it applies.
How does the roll log work?
After you roll, you can tap Log this roll to save that result. You can add a short description (what the roll was for) and people as comma-separated names. Each entry also stores when you saved it and a summary of the roll (so your history stays accurate). You can open Roll log from the list icon to view, edit, or delete entries.
Where is my data stored?
Roll logs and app settings are stored on your device only. We don’t require an account, and there is no cloud sync in the app today. If you delete the app or your device, local data may be removed unless you rely on your phone’s normal backup (for example iCloud backup). We don’t run our own server for your rolls.
Does the app need the internet?
Rolling dice and using the roll log do not require an internet connection.
